Travel Out Of State Quarantine Is Still In Effect For New Jersey

Dear SJS Families,

Presently there is still a travel out of state quarantine in effect for New Jersey.  This does not affect travel to NY, PA or CT, but to date, all other states remain under the rule. This could change at any time, if we hear of any changes we will notify you right away so you can make any travel plans necessary.

If you are planning to travel please notify us in writing or email so we can help the teachers plan their zoom lessons.  The 10 day period begins from the first day you return to NJ. There is NO testing permitted to shorten or avoid this 10 day rule and you do not have to Covid test to return to in person learning once you complete the 10 days in quarantine, even if your child became ill with Covid symptoms. This applies to any means of transportation to your destination.

Again as anything changes we will notify you right away.

Best Regards,

Nurse Nancy, RN

If you have any questions - please call 201-261-2388

A Message From The Desk Of The Principal

A Message From The Desk Of The Principal

Good Day All,

The following is a public service announcement from the Desk of the Saint Joseph School Principal:

The attached news article appeared in the Saturday, March 20, 2021 edition of The Bergen Record. It calls everyone's attention to the fact that social media activity will follow an individual. If your student has been granted access to social media platforms, you are encouraged, and urged, to monitor social media accounts/activity to ensure students do not make mistakes with postings that can follow them into high school, college and the workplace. All parents are encouraged to impress upon students that their actions on social media could potentially derail scholarships, college acceptance, and potentially, future employment, etc. Thank you.

Dr. Paula Valenti

Principal

St. Joseph School, Oradell, NJ

Office: (201) 261-2473 (x42)

Thank You - Skyler Hunt (Class of 2018)

I just wanted to say a big thank you to my Saint Joes family for all their support in donating and helping me with my service project. Several sources received an overwhelming amount of diapers and wipes for the young moms and their babies. I would never have been able to successfully complete this project without your generosity.

From,

Skyler Hunt (Class of 2018)

Ministry of Motherhood Lenten Meetings

Ministry of Motherhood Lenten Meetings

A Note From M.O.M.

We invite you to join us as we pray our way through Lent with Our Lady, reflecting on her motherly journey as she traveled with her son Jesus from her Annunciation to the Cross.

We will hold two Lenten Zoom Meetings on March 8 and March 29, at 7:30 pm, during which we will pray the Stations of the Cross together. (As a member of M.O.M., the Zoom link and agenda will be emailed to you on the morning of the meeting.) We will also be sending out a brief weekly reflection presented by Ascension Press, along with a meatless recipe and a few beautiful Lenten online resources that you may also explore on your own time.

If you would like to join our group or have any questions about it, please contact us at ministryofmotherhoodsjc@gmail.com.
